Language & Literacy Intervention Programmes Overview 

Is this Speech and Language Therapy

No. This is an educational language intervention programme delivered by a qualified teacher and SEN specialist. It supports language understanding, sentence building, grammar and early literacy skills. I am not a speech and language therapist. My background includes supporting schools with language and literacy development and working in a secondary SEN hub delivering targeted intervention for learners with additional needs.

Why pairs

Language intervention is most effective when children:

• hear each other’s ideas

• practise turn‑taking

• model language for one another

• build confidence socially

• reduce pressure by sharing the learning space

This is why the programme is delivered in pairs only — it is better for progress and better for outcomes.

Paired groups allow children to hear each other’s ideas, practise turn‑taking, and build confidence while still receiving individual attention.

Do I need any special resources

No special resources are required. Each programme includes tasks that will be completed online and a few optional tasks that your child can complete at home. If you’d like to share progress, you’re welcome to email a photo of the completed work. 

While tutoring can significantly support your child’s progress, specific grades or outcomes cannot be guaranteed. 

Every child learns at their own pace, and my focus is always on building confidence, clarity and steady improvement.
